The #1 Thing You Should Be Doing If You Sit All Day, From The Experts.
The Everyday Athlete Desk Series
We have all heard that sitting at a desk all day isn’t good for us. Well in 2017 there really isn’t anything we can do about that is there? We can fight the inevitable or we can come up with creative ways to get around it. Death of the Desk is here to educate and empower The Everyday Athlete (you) and we have your back to give you tons of ideas and inspiration on how to fight back against poor posture and stiffness.
We decided to switch things up this time around and interview some really cool people so you don’t just hear it from us! Exciting stuff right?
The most incredible thing we found from these interviews is that NO ONE said the same thing!
We took the time to interview 5 influential coaches in the industry today so YOU could hear what they have to offer (you’re welcome).
We know you are busy so I spaced them out so you could actually take a minute to benefit from their coaching. They are all less than 25 minutes long and could possibly CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
PPPSSSSTTTT we have a little secret for you all. Missy asks one NON-FITNESS related question to throw them all off a bit, so make sure to see what they say 😉
Interview #1: Coach Kevin Carr of Movement as Medicine
In this interview I found out how Mike Boyle’s Lead Coach ended up approving one of his athletes to do hip mobility while brushing his teeth? Watch out for toothpaste! Click on the video below for the full interview!
Why the heck did I choose Kevin? Well once you follow him you will see. This guy is smart, athletic and gives his whole life to health and wellness. Not only is he an example of someone who walks the talk, but he has a relaxing calm energy about him too. Eating pizza and drinking beer is something he isn’t shy about and I appreciate someone in the industry who is REAL, I know you will to. Think about it, he co-founded a company called “Movement as Medicine.” This guy rocks.
Interview #2: Alex Navarro of Fit Living Foodies
Why did I choose Alex Navarro of Fit Living Foodies ? She drops her knowledge bombs on her FAVORITE WORD in the world. She wants nothing more than to inspire people to become their best selves. Making positive changes doesn’t have to be difficult and she’s here to share her knowledge and experience to help others along their journeys. She shares a little secret about how you should change up your coffee order that could change your ENTIRE DAY!
Interview #3: Franz Snideman of Primal Speed and Revolution Fitness
Why did I choose Franz for this interview? He is SO passionate about fitness due to watching his parents “decay” he mentions. He truly believes that taking things ONE step at a time is the way to go. People spend way too much time worrying about step 42 before they focus on just the very first step. Here at Strength Matters we really value this approach as it is the mindset you need to adopt before you even think about being more fit or losing weight or increasing your performance. He has a lot of PIZAZZ so get ready for the energy he brings!!!
Interview #4: Alyssa Chang of Alyssa Chang Coach
Why did I choose Alyssa? First of all, her message is PURE and TRUE. Her journey through metabolic issues has driven her to educate women about these dangers and the effect it can have on the female body. She also learned the importance of practicing forms of happiness and self acceptance in order to achieve long term fulfillment, regardless of your shape. We love what she strives to communicate to her audience and love the coaching she gives to our community in this interview. Thank you Alyssa!
Interview #5: Perry Nickelston of Stop Chasing Pain
Why Perry? Well this is easy. Perry is one of the most influential leaders in our industry today. Not only has he studied MANY different systems, he invents his own too. He travels the globe teaching Primal Movement Chains and Amino Neuro Frequency and is super passionate about his work. Barefoot in jeans, you will never forget watching this guy do his thing or forget how SIMPLE he makes everything. He is an incredible human and preaches the importance of getting on the floor in this interview and of course the non-fitness related question hiding in there as well 😉
